Eve’s Court recognises Lady Eve Balfour who spent much of her childhood on this estate. Eve, a determined organic farming innovator, was one of the first women to study agriculture at a British university, becoming a pioneer of farming. Eve authored The Living Soil, was an educator and founder of the Soil Association.
